Avalon Health Care is a reputable provider in the long-term care sector, specializing in meeting the unique needs of veterans. With a well-established presence in the healthcare industry, Avalon Health Care is known for its commitment to delivering compassionate and comprehensive care to elderly and post-acute patients. The company recently took over operations of the E. Roy Stone Veterans Pavilion on the CM Tucker campus as of July 1, transitioning management from the South Carolina Department of Mental Health to the South Carolina Department of Veterans Affairs. This move underscores Avalon Health Care's dedication to enhancing veteran care through experienced private management. The E. Roy Stone Veterans Pavilion serves as a specialized facility that caters to veterans requiring long-term and post-acute healthcare services, offering a supportive and respectful environment designed to promote well-being and quality of life for those who have served the nation.

Avalon Health Care is currently seeking a dependable, organized, and dedicated Receptionist to join their team at the E. Roy Stone Veterans Pavilion. This part-time role offers shifts from 4 PM to 8 PM, Monday through Friday, including every other weekend, with an hourly wage range between $15.00 and $16.65. The Receptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the facility by providing essential office support. Duties will encompass answering multi-line telephones, greeting visitors, assisting with clerical and secretarial tasks such as typing, filing, payroll input, mail distribution, accounts payable, and maintaining personnel files. This position requires a professional demeanor and a commitment to supporting both the staff and the veterans residing in the pavilion.

Beyond administrative duties, the Receptionist will also participate in orientation, training, and staff meetings to remain aligned with the company’s operational standards and values. Additionally, they will take part in Quality Improvement activities, contributing to the continual enhancement of service delivery within the facility.
