Job Description
Uline is a family-owned company and North America's leading distributor of shipping, industrial, and packaging materials with over 9,800 employees across 14 locations. With a strong legacy spanning over 45 years, Uline has established itself as a trusted name in the industry, recognized for its commitment to high-quality products and outstanding customer service. The company prides itself on maintaining a drug-free workplace and offering a stable and enriching work environment. At its Washington Branch located at 3131 Hogum Bay Road NE, Lacey, WA, Uline continues to expand its operations and seek dedicated professionals to join its team.
The role of Receptionist at Uline's Washington Branch is a dynamic and pivotal position that supports the smooth functioning of the office’s daily activities. This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $21 to $25, reflecting the importance of the role within the organization's operational structure. The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for guests and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere. This includes greeting guests, managing visitor registration, and coordinating building access efficiently.
In addition to front desk responsibilities, the Receptionist manages incoming communications by answering and directing phone calls to the appropriate personnel or departments. This role requires multitasking capabilities, as the Receptionist also supports various office tasks using Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as internal communication platforms. The role provides critical support for executive-level communication, facilitating smooth interaction between staff and management.
A notable aspect of this position is the involvement in safety and security protocols; the Receptionist assists Uline Security and first responders to uphold safety procedures and respond effectively to emergencies. Candidates for this position should possess excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Joining Uline as a Receptionist presents a unique opportunity to be part of a growing company with a strong culture of career development and stability. The company offers comprehensive benefits, including complete health insurance coverage, 401(k) plan with a 6% employer match effective from the first day, multiple bonus programs, paid holidays, and generous paid time off. There is also a Tuition Assistance Program aimed at supporting professional continuing education.
The Uline Washington Branch is known for its best-in-class facilities, boasting clean, modern workspaces and a first-class fitness center, contributing to employee well-being and a positive work environment. As an on-site role, the Receptionist position aligns with Uline’s commitment to maintaining a drug-free workplace by requiring all new hires to complete a pre-employment hair follicle drug screening, emphasizing the safety-sensitive nature of the job.
Uline's commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity, including veteran and disabled individuals, highlights the company's dedication to diversity and inclusion. This receptionist position is ideal for individuals seeking a meaningful role in a reputable company with opportunities for growth and the support of a robust organizational infrastructure.
