Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in STEM field
- At least one year of relevant experience
- Must be able to distinguish color differences
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Ability to work on-site at Morikis Global Technology Center, Brecksville, OH
- Willingness to travel up to 20%
- Compliance with background checks
- Adherence to confidentiality and proprietary information guidelines
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field
- Preferred master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical or Material Engineering
- One year of experience in pigment dispersion and/or coating formulation, application and testing
- Basic knowledge of statistics and data analysis
- Project leadership and management experience
- Preferred three or more years of experience in pigment dispersion formulation, product development and raw material projects
- Experience with pigment dispersions or coatings for architectural and industrial applications
- Knowledge of quality management skills such as SPC, FMEA, DOE, Six-sigma
- Experience using statistical software such as Minitab
Job Duties
- Apply dispersion and paint formulation knowledge to product development
- Support R&D lab projects to evaluate, generate and confirm colorant formulas
- Conduct batch-making and testing including weighing, mixing, pouring, tinting, drawing down and evaluating
- Communicate with team, manufacturing and support groups to ensure successful commercialization of products
- Develop knowledge and understanding of product lines and colorant systems
- Participate in continuous improvement projects
- Document lab results and technical information accurately
- Present information effectively to various audiences
- Communicate project status and needs with R&D Colorant lab personnel and supported teams
