The role of Radiation Therapist at CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi requires a highly skilled healthcare professional who performs radiation therapy treatments, radiographic procedures, and CT simulations while maintaining rigorous documentation standards to ensure compliance and patient safety. The Radiation Therapist will interact closely with patients utilizing AIDET communication techniques to establish rapport, provide clear instructions, and ensure comfort and confidence throughout the treatment process. Responsibilities include patient positioning, operation and safety checks on specialized treatment machines like Varian iX, CyberKnife, and Wide Bore CT, as well as maintaining strict adherence to infection control and radiation safety policies.
