Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal inspection instructions
- Basic math skills for measurement and documentation
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and the ability to report findings clearly
Job Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Familiarity with plated plastics, automotive components, or similar manufactured products
- Experience performing inspections or quality audits in a manufacturing environment
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal inspection instructions
- Basic math skills for measurement and documentation
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Conduct visual inspections of outgoing product using approved inspection criteria
- Perform laboratory testing and record accurate results in the lab database
- Inspect products for visual attributes and defects
- Monitor lab equipment, inspection fixtures, retention samples, and testing materials
- Support sample processing, gauging, and trial-run documentation when required
- Maintain organized testing records, retention logs, and daily activity documentation
- Follow all quality procedures, work instructions, and document control requirements
- Perform outgoing dock audits to verify labels, packaging, counts, and part identification against customer requirements
- Assist with Layered Process Audits (LPAs), including checks on operators, equipment, work instructions, gauges, racks, and process parameters
- Communicate findings and quality concerns to the quality and production teams
- Perform additional duties as assigned
