Quality Technician - 3rd Shift

This role focuses on quality testing and batch control within Avient's manufacturing processes. The position comprises performing standard tests on product line production batches and occasionally on incoming raw materials to ensure compliance with strict customer specifications and quality standards. The successful candidate will act as a technical resource regarding production issues, recommend adjustments, and document all results meticulously through SAP and other records management systems. The role includes responsibility for maintaining Certificates of Analysis (COA) from suppliers, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance in documentation for customers. Regular verification and calibration of testing equipment and gauges are critical for maintaining quality assurance. Employees may also participate in complaint investigations and corrective actions to continually uphold the company's standards. A strong emphasis on safety and departmental housekeeping standards is integral, including adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment. The position requires the physical capability to perform duties involving standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in an environment with moderate to loud noise, potential exposure to mechanical parts, fumes, and chemicals. The work schedule is on the third shift from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, Sunday through Thursday, with a pay range of $19.36 to $29.04 per hour.
