This role focuses on quality testing and batch control within Avient's manufacturing processes. The position comprises performing standard tests on product line production batches and occasionally on incoming raw materials to ensure compliance with strict customer specifications and quality standards. The successful candidate will act as a technical resource regarding production issues, recommend adjustments, and document all results meticulously through SAP and other records management systems. The role includes responsibility for maintaining Certificates of Analysis (COA) from suppliers, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance in documentation for customers. Regular verification and calibration of testing equipment and gauges are critical for maintaining quality assurance. Employees may also participate in complaint investigations and corrective actions to continually uphold the company's standards. A strong emphasis on safety and departmental housekeeping standards is integral, including adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment. The position requires the physical capability to perform duties involving standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in an environment with moderate to loud noise, potential exposure to mechanical parts, fumes, and chemicals. The work schedule is on the third shift from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, Sunday through Thursday, with a pay range of $19.36 to $29.04 per hour. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in quality testing or related manufacturing environment preferred
- Ability to work third shift hours (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM, Sunday to Thursday)
- Physical ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, lift up to 50 pounds
- Familiarity with safety equipment and protocols
- Ability to use computers and software for data entry
- Compliance with company policies and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in quality control or laboratory testing preferred
- Familiarity with SAP or similar data management systems
- Ability to accurately document and maintain quality records
- Knowledge of safety protocols in manufacturing environments

Job Duties
- Performs standard tests on assigned product line production batches and on some incoming raw materials as needed, ensuring the meeting of Avient and the customer’s specifications
- Acts as a technical resource to production addressing issues related to production batches
- Recommends to production and may develop adjustments to batches to meet specifications
- Records test results in SAP
- Maintains reference files
- Completes and maintains all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
- Ensures all gauges and test equipment are verified
- May participate in investigations of complaints and corrective actions as needed
- Follows and complies with all safety and work rules and regulations
- Maintains departmental housekeeping standards
- Completes and sends documentation to customers (i.e. COA)
- Other duties as assigned
