Job Description
Clark-Reliance is a world class manufacturing company committed to serving customers in over 120 countries across the power generation, refining, gas processing, and chemical industries. With decades of dedicated service, the company has built a respected reputation for delivering quality and reliability in instrumentation products, measurement and control devices, and filtration systems. Clark-Reliance prides itself on fostering an environment that nurtures employee growth and development, emphasizing continuous improvement and maintaining industry-leading standards. The company’s commitment extends beyond its products to providing career development opportunities, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive workplace culture. This solid foundation has helped Clark-Reliance maintain its position as a preferred supplier and trusted name across multiple industrial sectors globally.
The Quality Control Technician role at Clark-Reliance is a vital first-shift opportunity for dedicated professionals seeking to contribute in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This position, which operates from 7 am to 3:30 pm, is responsible for ensuring that products and services meet established quality standards, including reliability, usability, and performance. The role demands thorough involvement in performing various inspections and non-destructive tests (NDE), meticulous documentation and record-keeping, calibration duties, and handling receiving and in-process inspections. The ideal candidate will possess proficiency in over 75% of the department’s responsibilities, emphasizing versatility and technical expertise.
Primary responsibilities include conducting a variety of non-destructive testing such as dye penetrant, magnetic particle, hardness, ferrite, positive material identification (PMI), and x-ray film/report interpretation. Coordination with team leads, production planners, and product managers is essential to synchronize testing schedules and ensure adherence to company and industry standards. The role also includes managing calibration tasks, maintaining and editing data for gaging equipment requiring calibration, and preparing measurement tools in alignment with metrology procedures and blueprints.
Quality control inspection and receiving duties are critical components, where the technician performs inspections to verify that incoming materials comply with specifications and purchase order requirements. Making quality decisions and documenting non-conforming products per ISO procedures underscores the technician’s responsibility. Documentation preparation involves collecting, organizing, scanning, and ensuring proper storage of all necessary paperwork, including certifications, traceability documents, and end-user packet preparation.
Beyond technical duties, the Quality Control Technician is expected to uphold safety protocols, maintain clean and orderly workspaces, and engage effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and customers. The position requires punctuality, adherence to company policies, and a commitment to quality assurance consistent with ISO standards. This role is crucial for maintaining the high standards Clark-Reliance is known for, supporting product integrity from reception through final inspection, and thereby preventing quality issues and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Clark-Reliance’s focus on employee well-being is reflected in the comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, and vision plans, paid holidays and vacations, wellness programs, and opportunities for career advancement. This role offers a meaningful chance to grow within a global leader that values quality, innovation, and employee development, providing a stable and rewarding career path for individuals passionate about precision manufacturing and quality assurance.
