The Quality Control Technician role at Clark-Reliance is a vital first-shift opportunity for dedicated professionals seeking to contribute in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This position, which operates from 7 am to 3:30 pm, is responsible for ensuring that products and services meet established quality standards, including reliability, usability, and performance. The role demands thorough involvement in performing various inspections and non-destructive tests (NDE), meticulous documentation and record-keeping, calibration duties, and handling receiving and in-process inspections. The ideal candidate will possess proficiency in over 75% of the department’s responsibilities, emphasizing versatility and technical expertise.

Primary responsibilities include conducting a variety of non-destructive testing such as dye penetrant, magnetic particle, hardness, ferrite, positive material identification (PMI), and x-ray film/report interpretation. Coordination with team leads, production planners, and product managers is essential to synchronize testing schedules and ensure adherence to company and industry standards. The role also includes managing calibration tasks, maintaining and editing data for gaging equipment requiring calibration, and preparing measurement tools in alignment with metrology procedures and blueprints.

Quality control inspection and receiving duties are critical components, where the technician performs inspections to verify that incoming materials comply with specifications and purchase order requirements. Making quality decisions and documenting non-conforming products per ISO procedures underscores the technician’s responsibility. Documentation preparation involves collecting, organizing, scanning, and ensuring proper storage of all necessary paperwork, including certifications, traceability documents, and end-user packet preparation.

Beyond technical duties, the Quality Control Technician is expected to uphold safety protocols, maintain clean and orderly workspaces, and engage effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
