The Waldorf Astoria New York is now seeking passionate and dedicated Public Area Attendants to join its esteemed team and contribute to unveiling a new era of luxury hospitality. This role is pivotal in maintaining the pristine condition and exceptional ambiance of the hotel’s public spaces, which include restrooms, hallways, elevators, stairwells, offices, and event areas. The role goes beyond mere cleaning duties; it focuses on creating memorable and welcoming experiences for every guest by providing impeccable service and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation are met. Public Area Attendants at the Waldorf Astoria are ambassadors of hospitality, spreading warmth and light while delivering the true Waldorf Service that guests have come to expect.
A typical day involves performing a range of cleaning tasks such as dusting, polishing furniture, vacuuming, mopping floors, shampooing carpets, washing windows, and emptying trash bins. The role also demands a readiness to assist with guest room cleaning when necessary and the flexibility to undertake special projects like deep cleaning, moving furniture, and waxing floors. Public Area Attendants are expected to greet guests warmly, respond promptly to inquiries, and address service requests, thereby significantly enhancing the overall guest experience.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical cleaning tasks
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Previous hospitality experience preferred
- Availability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- Commitment to delivering excellent guest service
- Ability to handle special cleaning projects as needed

Job Duties
- Keep public areas spotless by dusting and polishing furniture, vacuuming and mopping floors, shampooing carpets, washing windows, emptying trash
- Greet guests warmly, answer questions, and resolve service requests promptly
- Support housekeeping operations by assisting in guest room cleaning and fulfilling service requests
