This role is designed for an experienced and skilled Floating Chef who will contribute significantly to the Elior School Dining team in Eden Valley. The Floating Food Service Support professional will have responsibilities across various assigned locations, involving coordination and preparation of meals for school meal service. This position requires individuals who can assist in planning, directing, organizing, and coordinating food service department activities to ensure outstanding dining options are available for each location served. The role involves enforcing company policies and procedures regarding menu development, food preparation, distribution, service, budgeting, purchasing, sanitation standards, safety practices, staffing, and staff development.

In this role, the Floating Chef ensures meals are served at proper temperatures, in correct portions, and maintaining high quality. The individual will occasionally prepare meals directly as needed and take on other assigned tasks by management. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential, as the role demands collaboration with various teams and stakeholders to maintain high service standards. The job also requires flexibility and a willingness to travel up to 75% of the year to support multiple locations, offering a dynamic work environment with opportunities to develop culinary and management skills within the school dining segment.
