Job Description

Chobani is a renowned food company with a mission to make high-quality and nutritious food accessible to more people while also elevating communities and contributing to a healthier world. Since its founding in 2005 by Hamdi Ulukaya, an immigrant to the U.S., Chobani has grown into a purpose-driven, people-first, and food-and-wellness-focused enterprise. The company is recognized for its natural, preservative-free yogurt, oat milk, and creamers, and it holds the position as America's No.1 yogurt brand. With a commitment to quality and community impact, Chobani has expanded its portfolio to include leading brands such as La Colombe, a specialty coffee roaster, and Daily Harvest, which offers nutritious, convenient ready-to-make meals. Operating facilities in New York, Idaho, Michigan, and Australia, Chobani distributes its products widely across North America and selected international markets. The organization stands firmly on core values of humanity and giving back, reflected through its philanthropic efforts and inclusive, equal opportunity employment policies.

The Barista role at La Colombe, a recently acquired coffee roaster brand under the Chobani umbrella, is a key position centered around delivering exceptional customer service and representing the brand’s dedication to craftmanship and community. This is an hourly employment opportunity with a competitive pay rate of $21.00 per hour. Baristas are the face of the café, responsible for engaging customers warmly, crafting consistent and stylish coffee and espresso beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. This position demands an energetic and adaptable individual who thrives in a fast-paced setting, embodying the brand’s values of kindness, respect, deliciousness, efficiency, and cleanliness.

At La Colombe, Baristas are not just employees; they are community builders and brand champions. The role involves managing your station during shifts, supporting your teammates enthusiastically, and always seeking ways to improve the customer experience. La Colombe provides comprehensive training in coffee expertise as part of its investment in employee growth and skill development. With a team-first culture that values personal growth, this role offers ample long-term career advancement opportunities in areas like café management, training, operations, or sales. Employees can expect a workplace that prioritizes respect and responsibility while encouraging positive energy and initiative. The company also promotes work-life balance through generous paid time off policies, including vacation, personal, and sick leave, ensuring that employees feel valued and supported well beyond their day-to-day duties. Free coffee and ongoing learning reinforce a positive experience, making this a highly appealing position for those passionate about hospitality and quality coffee.
