The Delivery Driver position at Lakes Gas is a local route role that allows drivers to return home every night, providing a better work-life balance while serving the community. This is a Class B CDL position requiring candidates to hold or be willing to obtain a Class B Commercial Driver's License with hazardous materials and tanker endorsements, as well as a valid DOT medical examiner's card. Drivers will be responsible for safely delivering propane, propane tanks, and cylinders to a variety of residential and commercial sites while exemplifying first-class customer service. The role demands a high level of safety consciousness due to the transportation of hazardous materials and the need to comply with federal Department of Transportation regulations. Drivers must have a strong mechanical aptitude to perform routine maintenance on company and customer equipment and assist with plant maintenance activities as needed. The position also involves working outside in various weather conditions and handling physical tasks such as lifting up to 75 pounds, pulling delivery hoses, and maneuvering cylinders. Job Requirements
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements or ability to obtain endorsements without air brake restrictions
- Clean driving record verifiable by Federal Motor Vehicle Report
- Ability to pass DOT physical and maintain Federal DOT medical card
- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
- Compliance with federal drug and alcohol testing requirements
- Safety conscious and customer service oriented
- Ability to operate and maintain handheld tablets
- Inspect vehicle and notify supervisor of needed equipment, supplies, or maintenance
- Complete DOT Hazmat Training and Maintenance every three years
- Maintain compliance with all DOT requirements
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to pull delivery hose
- Ability to bend, climb, reach, and rotate as required
- Ability to fill, load, secure, and deliver propane cylinders or bulk
Job Qualifications
- Possess a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements or ability to obtain endorsements

Job Duties
- Deliver propane, propane tanks, and cylinders to residential and commercial sites
- Provide first-class customer service
- Operate delivery vehicle safely and comply with all DOT regulations
- Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of company and customer equipment
- Participate in plant maintenance activities as assigned
- Inspect vehicle and notify supervisor of needed equipment, supplies, or maintenance
- Comply with federal drug and alcohol testing requirements
