The Delivery Driver position at Lakes Gas is a local route role that allows drivers to return home every night, providing a better work-life balance while serving the community. This is a Class B CDL position requiring candidates to hold or be willing to obtain a Class B Commercial Driver's License with hazardous materials and tanker endorsements, as well as a valid DOT medical examiner's card. Drivers will be responsible for safely delivering propane, propane tanks, and cylinders to a variety of residential and commercial sites while exemplifying first-class customer service. The role demands a high level of safety consciousness due to the transportation of hazardous materials and the need to comply with federal Department of Transportation regulations. Drivers must have a strong mechanical aptitude to perform routine maintenance on company and customer equipment and assist with plant maintenance activities as needed. The position also involves working outside in various weather conditions and handling physical tasks such as lifting up to 75 pounds, pulling delivery hoses, and maneuvering cylinders.
