Job Description
Everforth CyberCoders is a reputable multi-state, multi-discipline engineering firm known for its collaborative culture and commitment to employee growth both professionally and personally. With offices located in Rutherford, Asbury Park NJ, NYC, and Salem, MA, the firm specializes in providing innovative civil engineering solutions with an emphasis on traffic and transportation projects. The company's client-centric approach, combined with competitive compensation packages and extensive benefits, makes it an ideal workplace for engineers seeking to work on diverse and challenging projects across multiple states.
The role offered is a Project Manager position focusing on Traffic and Transportation engineering, specifically designated for candidates who are licensed Professional Engineers (PE) or Engineers in Training (EIT). The salary range for this role is highly competitive, between $95,000 and $180,000 annually, complemented by a suite of attractive benefits. This position is geared towards individuals with a strong background in civil engineering, specializing in highway or roadway design, zoning, and land development projects, and offers the opportunity to lead complex traffic engineering projects from initial concept all the way through construction and completion.
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams on various traffic and transportation projects, managing all facets including project scoping, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control to ensure successful project delivery. This role requires a candidate with proven experience in managing client relations, coordinating with transportation agencies such as state Departments of Transportation, and securing necessary permits and approvals. Additionally, the candidate will perform critical traffic engineering analyses such as capacity analyses, parking studies, traffic impact studies, signal warrants, and signal timing, used to inform design and decision-making processes.
A significant part of this role involves the preparation, review, and approval of detailed engineering deliverables including technical reports, permit applications, construction documents, and memoranda. The Project Manager will also apply roadway design principles to oversee geometric design aspects, drainage considerations, and general civil engineering components tailored to transportation projects. Familiarity with transportation modeling and microsimulation tools such as Highway Capacity Software (HCS), SimTraffic, and Synchro is essential for developing and validating project analyses and recommendations.
The role extends beyond technical duties to include mentorship and performance management for engineering staff, ensuring high standards of technical accuracy and compliance with industry standards. Financial oversight is another critical component, requiring management of project budgets, invoice preparation, progress monitoring, and adherence to timelines and scopes. The Project Manager will also represent the firm at public meetings and hearings, effectively communicating complex technical material to non-technical audiences to build trust and support for projects.
This position not only demands technical proficiency but also leadership, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills. Candidates with additional experience in zoning, site planning, and knowledge of NJDOT, NYSDOT, and PennDOT procedures will find this role particularly fulfilling. Professional credentials such as PMP or experience in transportation planning and municipal engineering are considered valuable assets. Overall, this role offers an exciting career opportunity for traffic and transportation engineers aiming to contribute to impactful infrastructure projects while benefiting from a supportive and growing firm environment.
