This role requires a candidate with proven experience in managing client relations, coordinating with transportation agencies such as state Departments of Transportation, and securing necessary permits and approvals. Additionally, the candidate will perform critical traffic engineering analyses such as capacity analyses, parking studies, traffic impact studies, signal warrants, and signal timing, used to inform design and decision-making processes.

A significant part of this role involves the preparation, review, and approval of detailed engineering deliverables including technical reports, permit applications, construction documents, and memoranda. The Project Manager will also apply roadway design principles to oversee geometric design aspects, drainage considerations, and general civil engineering components tailored to transportation projects. Familiarity with transportation modeling and microsimulation tools such as Highway Capacity Software (HCS), SimTraffic, and Synchro is essential for developing and validating project analyses and recommendations.

The role extends beyond technical duties to include mentorship and performance management for engineering staff, ensuring high standards of technical accuracy and compliance with industry standards. Financial oversight is another critical component, requiring management of project budgets, invoice preparation, progress monitoring, and adherence to timelines and scopes.
