The role of Project Manager, Fairs & Events, Home Games, based in South San Francisco, USA, within the Solutions division, is a full-time position with an annual salary range of $75,000 to $90,000. This role is central to managing the freight operations related to fairs, events, and home games, ensuring the timely and compliant handling of shipments, customs clearance, and coordinating with various teams and agents. The Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end operational management of fairs and events show logistics at the SFO location, including document verification, freight bookings, customs processes, and maintaining communication with overseas agents and in-house offices. The position also involves onsite show management – overseeing manifests, vendor coordination, and supporting exhibitors and organizers during events. Financial aspects such as timely billing, collections, and job closures are also managed by the candidate. Additionally, the Project Manager will engage in lead management activities, following up on exhibitor lists, and securing business opportunities.
Ideal candidates will have a degree and preferably more than two years of experience in fairs and events freight forwarding including air, sea, and road transportation along with customs clearance for imports and exports. The role demands strong communication skills, flexibility to work variable hours aligned with show schedules, and readiness to travel to various show venues. Candidates should exhibit a team-oriented mindset and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Key skills include excellent communication, multitasking capabilities, attention to detail, and dependable independent work. Language proficiency in English is essential, and bilingual skills in Spanish are a plus.
