Job Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in construction project management
  • 10+ years of experience managing personnel
  • Experience working on joint venture construction projects
  • Proven experience in bid-build CMCG design build and alternative delivery projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proven project risk management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple departments and direct reports
  • Proven coaching and mentoring abilities

Job Duties

  • Manages all aspects of the project including construction budget and cash management to ensure contract compliance and owner needs
  • Produces project schedules pay estimates procedures and equipment resources for accurate timely production and develops unified project plans with external partners if applicable
  • Develops and manages organizational charts and staff assignments ensuring timely and accurate completion of project objectives
  • Provides technical insight to project pursuits participates in bid interviews assesses contracts and resolves conflicts and scheduling issues with the owner
  • Engages proactively with project stakeholders including managing partners federal authorities local business owners and regulatory bodies influencing project success
  • Coordinates with construction management to identify risks negotiate change orders and ensure efficient project production
  • Oversees project and construction management to update schedules and adjust for owner change orders
  • Presents monthly project reports to executive leadership
  • Supports and promotes project safety ensuring compliance with safety programs procedures and owner policies participates in safety meetings and reviews
  • Directs construction management decisions regarding staff equipment needs and cost containment with subcontractors and equipment billing
  • Resolves disputes with the project owner timely and compliantly engaging legal counsel and executive leadership where necessary
  • Provides input on equipment procurement methods and contracts for efficient project production
  • Leads project closeout procedures finalizing paperwork obtaining retainages resolving claims and conducting project debriefs
