The role of Commercial Construction Project Director at Knight Commercial is a full-time, highly responsible position offering an annual salary range of $95,000 to $105,000. This role requires an individual with at least 5 years of experience in commercial construction and estimating, particularly with significant exposure to hospitality, multifamily, and industrial sectors. The Project Director will oversee multiple teams and subcontractors on various projects, ensuring daily operations are efficient, safe, and aligned with project goals. They will also play a critical role during the pre-construction phase by partnering with superintendents to address constructability issues and contract scopes to avoid problems during actual construction.

The ideal candidate will develop a deep understanding of project strategies, including financial goals, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones, and inspections. They will manage all field operations, including site safety, quality control, construction progress, and site cleanliness. Maintaining accurate project schedules and fostering strong client and subcontractor relationships is also a vital part of the role. Exceptional leadership, communication, and time management skills are essential to delegate tasks effectively, meet project deadlines, and ensure client expectations are consistently surpassed.

Additional responsibilities include writing proposals and budget plans, documenting project progress, and interpreting construction methods, contracts, and blueprints. The candidate must be willing to travel locally within the assigned city or territory as needed. This position requires strong technical skills, leadership qualities, negotiation capabilities, and proficiency with relevant construction software. Commercial roofing experience and bilingual skills are considered advantageous but are not mandatory.
