Job Description

The Marzetti Company (Nasdaq: MZTI) is a prominent manufacturer and distributor of specialty food products, widely recognized for its diverse portfolio of retail and foodservice brands. With a strong presence in the food industry, Marzetti produces household favorites such as Marzetti dressings and dips, New York Bakery garlic breads, and Sister Schubert's dinner rolls. In addition to these owned brands, the company holds exclusive licensing agreements to manufacture and market well-known products including Olive Garden dressings, Chick-fil-A sauces and dressings, Buffalo Wild Wings sauces, Arby's sauces, Subway sauces, and Texas Roadhouse steak sauces and frozen rolls. This extensive product range enables Marzetti to serve consumers across multiple dining occasions, whether at home or at leading restaurant chains nationwide.

Marzetti's foodservice division plays a crucial role in supplying sauces, dressings, breads, and pasta to some of the top restaurant chains in the United States, reinforcing the company's commitment to quality and innovation in the food manufacturing sector. The company operates with a clear mission to make every meal better through high-quality, flavorful food and is guided by a purpose to nourish growth with all that they do. This inspires their team members to uphold excellence not only in product creation but also in fostering strong, lasting relationships with customers and partners.

The Production Line Team Member role at Marzetti is an integral position within the company’s manufacturing operations. This role offers immediate Paid Time Off (PTO) from the date of hire and comes with numerous benefits starting from the first of the month following 30 days of employment. Scheduled shift hours are from 3 PM to 1:30 AM, Monday through Thursday, and some mandatory overtime may be required to meet production demands, along with opportunities for voluntary overtime.

The job entails working across a variety of positions within the production line such as Inspector, Processor, Packer, and Palletizer. Each position carries specific responsibilities critical to ensuring the quality, safety, and efficiency of the production process. For example, the Inspector is responsible for meticulous quality checks of raw materials and frozen precooked pasta to maintain strict product standards. The Processor shapes and stacks products, mixes ingredients, and supports sanitation efforts. Packers focus on proper packing, product orientation, and accurate coding of products before shipment, while Palletizers ensure pallets are load-ready, properly configured, and labeled.

This role also emphasizes food safety and quality, requiring adherence to Marzetti’s Corporate Food Safety and Quality Manual as well as internal policies, procedures, and training. The company values employees who are detail-oriented, quality-conscious, and who contribute actively to maintaining a safe and clean production environment.

Working at Marzetti provides an opportunity to be part of a respected food manufacturing company that values diversity, inclusivity, and affirmative action. The company operates within a supportive work environment that accommodates disabilities and promotes equality irrespective of race, gender, age, and other protected characteristics. This role suits candidates willing to learn, grow, and take pride in producing beloved food products that reach consumers nationwide.
