The Product Safety Engineer role at CSA Group, based in Cleveland, Ohio, is a pivotal position within the organization’s product certification division. Reporting directly to the Product Group Managers, the engineer will play a crucial role in maintaining CSA Group’s reputation as a leading authority in certification. The primary responsibility is to oversee the safety certification process for new and innovative fueled appliance products, ensuring they comply with applicable national and international standards including CSA and ANSI. The ideal candidate will be capable of independently managing multiple projects while maintaining rigorous attention to detail and meeting project deadlines. This role demands a profound understanding of engineering principles, relevant standards such as ANSI Z21 series, and the ability to review and evaluate complex product submissions.

This position requires evaluating products against established standards, reviewing test data, preparing certification reports, and authorizing the use of certification marks. The Product Safety Engineer will collaborate closely with laboratory technicians to design and order tests according to required standards and will be responsible for thorough construction evaluations to confirm compliance or note any discrepancies. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, project and time management abilities, and the expertise to interpret engineering drawings and apply technical knowledge effectively.
