Job Description

DigiStream Investigations is a rapidly growing national private investigation firm headquartered in Espartially focused on providing high-quality investigative services across the United States. With a solid reputation built over 25 years, DigiStream prides itself on professional integrity, cutting-edge surveillance techniques, and delivering exceptional client results. As an industry leader, the company is dedicated to expanding its investigative team across regions, including the greater San Diego County area in California. DigiStream offers a dynamic work environment that suits individuals with a passion for uncovering the truth and a commitment to excellence in investigations. They provide comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan with company match to support their team members' well-being and future.

The Private Investigator role at DigiStream Investigations is a full-time position designed for adventurous, self-driven individuals who enjoy pursuing investigative challenges and operating with autonomy and purpose. The position averages 40 to 55 hours per week with approximately 10 to 11 hours daily, and includes paid travel time driving company vehicles while commuting to cases. Starting at $20 per hour for entry-level hires, workers can expect frequent overtime and a salary range from $50,000 to $65,000 annually or more based on experience and overtime. This career offers a unique blend of excitement, exploration, and real-world application of surveillance and investigative techniques, particularly geared towards cases involving potentially fraudulent Worker's Compensation and Liability claims. Candidates must reside in California to be considered.

Working at DigiStream means you will receive thorough hands-on training constructed from decades of industry experience, preparing you to handle covert investigations, execute detailed surveillance, and contribute meaningfully to the discovery and documentation that support legal and insurance claims. Investigators will perform varied tasks daily, including following and videotaping subjects under different circumstances, crafting strategic surveillance plans, and submitting detailed reports with evidence. The role is physically and mentally engaging, requiring flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, holidays, and overnight travel when assignments demand.

DigiStream emphasizes professional growth through an Investigator Promotion Track providing clear pathways for career advancement. Unlike many private investigation firms, DigiStream supplies employees with late-model vehicles, essential equipment such as video cameras, laptops, tripods, and fuel cards, ensuring the team is well-equipped to succeed. The company culture fosters camaraderie through quarterly team-building events and encourages a strong team dynamic. As a member of DigiStream Investigations, you gain skills transferable to many prestigious careers including law enforcement, FBI, state crime labs, legal professions, corporate investigations, and investigative journalism. This role offers more than a job — it offers a gateway to a fulfilling and lucrative career in the investigative and security professions.
