Job Description

Biospan is a pioneering company based in Atlanta, GA, that is dedicated to transforming lives through the fusion of ancestral wisdom and cutting-edge scientific advancements in nutrition and well-being. As a health-focused organization, Biospan merges traditional knowledge with modern science to develop innovative solutions that promote optimal health and holistic wellness. The company is deeply committed to preserving nature, empowering individuals to lead their best lives through the power of nutrition, and reshaping the future of health by making a lasting impact on the community they serve. Biospan’s core philosophy revolves around the belief that health, nature, and ambition can unite to inspire real change and improve quality of life for their clients.

The role of the Private Chef at Biospan is a unique and rewarding opportunity for culinary professionals who are passionate about health, nutrition, and creating nutritionally dense meals tailored to medical dietary needs. This part-time position requires working approximately 20 hours per week, spread across three days, within the vibrant city of Atlanta. The successful candidate will prepare meals exclusively for one individual who is following a medical diet, making attention to detail and nutrient-rich cooking essential to the role. Rather than simply preparing meals, the Private Chef will be an integral part of the client’s journey to improved health and vitality.

Biospan offers comprehensive training provided by Nutritional Therapists and the Head Chef, ensuring that the chef is well-versed in nutritional science and the use of high-quality ingredients. Following this training, the chef will have the autonomy to create personalized menus based on pasture-raised, organic, and wild ingredients, emphasizing wholesome and natural food sources that align with health goals. This role requires a high level of trustworthiness and dedication, as the chef’s work directly contributes to the well-being and lifestyle of the client.

Ideal candidates for this position are those with formal culinary training or significant experience in professional cooking, combined with a strong passion for nutrition and health-focused culinary practices. The ability to customize menus creatively while adhering to strict nutritional guidelines is paramount. Additionally, candidates must possess a valid driving license and have their own reliable vehicle to manage ingredient procurement and possibly other errands, reinforcing the importance of independence and responsibility in this role.

Working with Biospan means joining a company that not only values culinary excellence but also strives to create meaningful change by supporting people with specific health challenges. The Biocheffing service has demonstrated profound impacts, such as enabling cancer patients to regain strength for important milestones and helping individuals with severe allergies enjoy meals safely and confidently. This position provides a meaningful way for chefs to apply their skills beyond the kitchen—contributing to transformative health journeys and making dreams of better living attainable.

Applicants must submit a cover letter and a CV, along with at least two references, as part of the application process. A background check is required, and self-insurance is strongly advised, with guidance available from the company if needed. With an hourly salary of $30, this part-time role not only offers competitive compensation but also the chance to engage in fulfilling work that merges culinary art with health science in a collaborative and innovative environment.
