Job Description
We are an upscale concierge-style personal chef service, specializing in providing tailored culinary experiences for private clients. Our company prides itself on delivering high-quality, nutrition-focused meal preparation and live-plated services that cater to a diverse range of dietary needs. We operate with a commitment to exceptional customer service, culinary excellence, and a personalized approach to each client’s preferences and health goals. Our team of private and meal prep chefs work closely with clients to design custom menus that align with specific nutritional requirements, including gluten-free, dairy-free, paleo, Whole30, and other specialized diets.
Joining our team means becoming part of a dynamic, fast-paced environment where culinary skills, efficiency, and a deep understanding of nutrition are paramount. This independent contractor position offers flexibility with scheduling, catering to both full-time and part-time professionals. Chefs can expect to work approximately 20-30 hours per week with opportunities for growth as we continue to expand our client base. The role requires availability primarily from Sunday to Wednesday, with an emphasis on some availability on Sundays and/or Mondays. Our services include both in-home cooking at client residences during regular business hours and the option to prepare meals in your own kitchen followed by delivery to clients. We are dedicated to ensuring that our chefs have the freedom to create in environments that best suit their lifestyle and professional preferences.
The ideal candidate is proficient in prepping multiple dishes quickly and effectively, with strong organizational skills to manage menu planning, grocery shopping, meal cooking, food storage, labeling, and clean-up. Understanding various special diet types and restrictions is essential to meeting our clients’ health goals while ensuring their meals remain delicious and satisfying. We emphasize the importance of communication and professionalism, as our chefs represent the face of our brand in clients' homes. A background check and confidentiality agreement are mandatory to maintain the integrity and privacy of our client relationships.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in cooking and meal preparation
- Knowledge of various special diet types and restrictions
- Ability to shop for groceries and manage inventory
- Must have reliable transportation for grocery shopping and deliveries
- Ability to work independently as an independent contractor
- Flexible availability including critical hours Sunday to Wednesday
- Background check and confidentiality agreement
Job Qualifications
- Experience in meal prep or personal chef roles
- Knowledge of special diets such as gluten-free, dairy-free, paleo, Whole30
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety
- Culinary training or certification preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Menu planning, often for clients with special dietary needs or restrictions
- Grocery and ingredient shopping
- In-home cooking and meal prep at clients' homes, and/or prepping in your own kitchen and delivering
- Food storage packing/labeling and clean up
- Managing multiple dishes efficiently and effectively
- Communicating with clients to understand preferences and dietary requirements
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization during and after meal preparation
