The Assistant Director of Front Office at Prince Waikiki plays a critical leadership role, managing the daily operations of the Front Office department to ensure outstanding guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. This full-time salaried role, with an annual salary ranging from $72,000 to $100,000, involves overseeing multiple teams including Guest Services, Concierge, Club Lounge, Front Services, and Communications. The Assistant Director supports the Director of Front Office with administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll, training, and organizing departmental meetings. They are also responsible for maintaining service standards set forth by executive management, managing guest complaints, and ensuring compliance with hotel policies.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum of three years managerial experience in Front Office
  • Ability to present current valid TB clearance
  • Ability to obtain Hawaii Liquor Commission Blue Card
  • Current driver’s abstract with no moving violations within three years
  • Ability to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends
  • Ability to travel for business and training
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
  • Proficiency in English reading, writing, and speaking
  • Japanese proficiency highly preferred

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum three years of managerial experience in Front Office
  • Proficiency in hotel management software such as Infor HMS, HotSos, Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Japanese language proficiency highly preferred
  • Ability to manage large staff with supervisory skills
  • Ability to analyze financial reports
  • Ability to handle guest relations and resolve complaints professionally
  • Experience with scheduling and payroll management

Job Duties

  • Direct the day-to-day operation of the Front Office with a focus on efficiency and guest satisfaction
  • Represent the Front Office to guests and employees
  • Assist the Director of Front Office in overseeing Guest Services, Concierge, Club Lounge, Front Services, and Communications
  • Inspect hotel and public areas to ensure quality customer service and compliance with management procedures
  • Plan, organize, and supervise Front Office activities and enforce department policies
  • Handle guest complaints and emergency situations effectively
  • Manage scheduling, payroll, training, and departmental meetings
  • Maximize room revenue by reviewing daily occupancy and analyzing financial data
