The available position is a leadership role that requires managing and inspiring a team focused on delivering top-tier customer service and operational excellence. The role involves holding assistant team leaders, supervisors, and team members accountable to high standards, fostering a positive and respectful workplace culture, and making key decisions regarding hiring and separation to maintain a motivated and capable team. This position is also responsible for monitoring and achieving sales, purchasing, and labor targets, ensuring product assortment and inventory control meet company standards, and building productive relationships with peers and vendors. The ideal candidate will keep abreast of industry trends and competitor activities while consistently striving to set the highest retail execution standards. Food safety certification is required, with a commitment to obtaining it within six months if not already certified. Proficiency in financial management, decision-making, and technology applications related to retail operations are also essential. Candidates must have retail experience with at least 12 months in a leadership capacity. Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- standing or walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day
- hand use including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- work requires bending, twisting, squatting and reaching
- exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- exposure to temperatures less than 32 degrees Fahrenheit, 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit, and greater than 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- ability to work in wet and dry conditions
- ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
- may require use of ladders
Job Qualifications
- Retail experience of 24+ months including 12+ months of team leadership experience
- advanced knowledge of products, buying, pricing, merchandising, and inventory management
- strong interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills
- capability of teaching others in a positive and constructive manner
- advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies and procedures
- proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and operations-related applications
- demonstrated decision-making ability, leadership skills, and ability to prioritize and delegate
- product knowledge
- proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance and managing inventory
- food safety certification or commitment to complete within 6 months
