The role of Prepared Foods Team Leader at Whole Foods Market involves overseeing the Prepared Foods department, including coffee and juice displays, ensuring they are compelling and well-maintained. This position assists with scheduling and supervising team members while supporting the Prepared Foods Team Leader and Associate Team Leader to maintain smooth daily operations. It requires excellent organizational and leadership skills as the Team Leader is responsible for delegating tasks, training new and existing team members to build a high-performance team, and minimizing turnover. The Team Leader ensures that all department procedures are followed, including adherence to health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies. They also maintain a positive and friendly environment for both customers and team members, fostering teamwork, respect, and outstanding morale.

The position demands a proactive approach to customer service, ensuring that customer needs are promptly met and that the department achieves the highest standards of retail execution. This includes maintaining clean, well-stocked, and properly rotated displays and shelves, managing department openings and closings, and providing performance evaluations and feedback to team members. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, and operational applications is required to monitor financial performance, profitability, and inventory. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various temperature conditions and physical postures. Applicants must also have a flexible schedule, including availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
