We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. As a Prep Cook at WOB, your primary responsibility will be to prepare menu item ingredients accurately and consistently based on our recipes and portioning standards. The position involves following prep lists provided by kitchen management, labeling and stocking ingredients in an organized manner, setting up workstations with necessary supplies, and maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen environment. You will work alongside other kitchen staff to ensure a streamlined workflow that supports timely meal preparation and helps maintain the reputation of World of Beer.

Job Requirements

  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop, push and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
  • Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits
  • Flexible schedule
  • All BOH manager and hourly positions might include the ability to withstand frequent exposure to high and low temperatures, smoke, and steam
  • There is also frequent contact with sanitary latex gloves, sanitation solutions, all food products include, but not limited to: meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, dairy and produce items
  • You must have the ability to learn and understand how to prepare all food items on our menu to our World of Beer specifications, appearance and standards in a timely manner

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a prep cook or in a similar role is a plus
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • Must be able follow directions of kitchen manager

Job Duties

  • Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the WOB recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards
  • Follow the prep list created by Kitchen management
  • Labeling and stocking all ingredients so they can be organized and easily accessible
  • Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
  • Ensure all food and station items are stored properly
  • Maintain clean work environment
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service
