Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in food service or hospitality field
- Ability to stand for the entirety of scheduled shifts
- Capability to endure hot and cold work environments
- Manual dexterity to perform chopping and cutting tasks
- Food handler's card may be required according to local or state regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 2 or 4 year culinary degree preferred but not required
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in food service or hospitality field
- Strong listener to accurately follow directions
- Effective communication skills
- Basic math and written communication skills
Job Duties
- Follow clear direction in food preparation and storing
- Clearly label and date all prepped items, especially those stored for later use
- Ensure that all food is properly prepared for use by the line cooks
- Chop vegetables and prepare ingredients according to recipes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep stations
- Assist in breaking down food stations and storing leftovers properly
- Support kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation
