Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience in food service or hospitality field
  • Ability to stand for the entirety of scheduled shifts
  • Capability to endure hot and cold work environments
  • Manual dexterity to perform chopping and cutting tasks
  • Food handler's card may be required according to local or state regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 2 or 4 year culinary degree preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in food service or hospitality field
  • Strong listener to accurately follow directions
  • Effective communication skills
  • Basic math and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • Follow clear direction in food preparation and storing
  • Clearly label and date all prepped items, especially those stored for later use
  • Ensure that all food is properly prepared for use by the line cooks
  • Chop vegetables and prepare ingredients according to recipes
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep stations
  • Assist in breaking down food stations and storing leftovers properly
  • Support kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation
