Reporting directly to the Kitchen Manager and collaborating closely with other team members, this non-exempt role requires dedication to maintaining kitchen cleanliness, food safety, and efficient production processes. Employees will engage in various kitchen duties including managing prep areas, organizing deliveries, operating kitchen equipment safely, and assisting in other kitchen stations as needed. Job Duties

  • Interact with co-workers in a friendly, enthusiastic and professional manner
  • Regular attendance and compliance with employee handbook and training manuals
  • Understand and execute highlighted production sheets in order of priority
  • Execute all recipes to the letter in a timely manner according to La Popular's standards
  • Maintain and deliver all 'backups' at proper temperature to appropriate area
  • Operate kitchen equipment in a safe and efficient manner
  • Maintain clean and dry building
  • Maintain sanitary prep areas
  • Clean and organize walk-in, dry storage and freezer on a regular basis
  • Label, date and rotate all prepped items in accordance with La Popular's shelf life specifications
  • Maintain adequate product par levels
  • Organize daily deliveries in proper storage areas
  • Assist dish station and line functions, when needed
