We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. The Prep Cook will work under the direct leadership of our executive chef to ensure all food preparation needs are met with precision and efficiency. This role is crucial in supporting our line cooks by performing routine food preparation tasks that are essential for executing perfect meals. Responsibilities include chopping vegetables, cutting meats, breaking down stations, weighing and mixing ingredients, washing and preparing vegetables, and storing food properly while adhering to safety and sanitation guidelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food prep techniques, attention to detail, and the ability to follow clear instructions while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in food service or hospitality field
  • Food handler's card may be required according to local and or state regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in food service or hospitality field
  • Basic math and written communication skills
  • Strong listener to understand specific directions on food prep
  • Clear communication skills with coworkers
  • Understand the English language to execute recipes

Job Duties

  • Follow clear direction in food preparation and storing
  • Clearly label and date all prepped items, especially those stored for later use
  • Ensure that all food properly prepared for use by the line cooks
