We are currently seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient kitchen operations and providing support to the line cooks by handling essential food preparation tasks. The Prep Cook will work closely under the guidance of the restaurant’s executive chef, performing day-to-day tasks such as chopping vegetables, cutting meat, weighing and mixing ingredients, washing and preparing vegetables, and properly storing food. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to follow clear directions to maintain a smooth workflow in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in food service or hospitality
  • Ability to understand English language for recipe execution
  • Must have strong manual dexterity for cutting and chopping
  • Physical stamina to stand for entire shift
  • Ability to endure hot and cold working conditions
  • Food handler’s card as required by local or state regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Culinary degree (2 or 4 year) preferred but not required
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in food service or hospitality field
  • Ability to understand and execute recipes in English
  • Clear communication skills with coworkers
  • Basic math and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • Follow clear direction in food preparation and storing
  • Clearly label and date all prepped items, especially those stored for later use
  • Ensure that all food is properly prepared for use by the line cooks
