This opportunity is for the role of a Food Service Cook at one of SeaWorld's water parks. In this role, you will be integral to delivering high-quality food service that meets the company's stringent menu standards and safety requirements. You will prepare and oversee the preparation of foods, ensuring each dish meets the specifications with attention to quality, safety, and guest satisfaction. The role is fast-paced and demands a hands-on approach to all aspects of food preparation, including the use of advanced equipment like open flame char grills, smokers, steam kettles, and woks. The Food Service Cook will also be responsible for adhering to HACCP and safety guidelines, including the proper use of protective gear and food allergen awareness to ensure dietary needs are met properly.

Job Requirements
- Ability to work with all food types including allergens in various dining facilities
- Ability to lift, push, pull or carry up to 50 lbs
- Capacity to walk and stand extensively throughout shifts
- Ability to perform physical activities including kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching overhead, and fine hand manipulation
- Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions including extreme heat
- Ability to use cleaning chemicals safely
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Adaptability to relocate within work locations based on business needs and career growth
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests
- Ability to pass all mandatory training
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- At least one year of cooking experience or a combination of cooking experience and culinary school
- Basic knife skills
- Ability to pass SafeStaff training and Responsible Vendor Training
- Ability to use protective gear and kitchen equipment
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to prepare special dietary meals
- Professional communication skills
- Valid state driver’s license preferred
- In-depth food safety and allergen knowledge a plus
Job Duties
- Prepare high quality food according to menu specifications
- Follow all safety and HACCP guidelines
- Use proper protective gear and test food temperatures
- Oversee final prepared food quality
- Cook high-quality food using advanced kitchen equipment such as char grills, smokers, steam kettles, woks, and bakery machinery
- Complete food prep by cutting and chopping vegetables, fruits, and meats
- Assemble wraps, sandwiches, salads, and fruit cups
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all assigned areas
- Incorporate knowledge of top eight allergens into dietary meal preparation
- Interact professionally with Ambassadors and guests
- Perform other duties as assigned
