Elior Independent School Dining is currently seeking a full-time, onsite Prep Cook for their location in Durham, North Carolina. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for preparing and serving high-quality meals and who thrives in a fast-paced, efficient environment. The Prep Cook will join a highly motivated and energetic kitchen team, contributing to the production of delicious meals with a strong focus on quality, portion control, and creative food presentation. The compensation offered for this position is $15.50 per hour.

The successful candidate will handle critical kitchen duties including food preparation, ensuring compliance with safe food handling policies, maintaining proper storage of food items, and keeping the kitchen organized and sanitary. This role requires a dedicated professional with at least one year of prior culinary experience in a high-volume, quality-driven environment, emphasizing scratch cooking methods. The Prep Cook must be comfortable using various kitchen equipment and tools and be attentive to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously under pressure.

Customer service skills are also essential as this role may involve interactions with the campus community. Additional qualifications that will enhance the candidate’s profile include food handlers’ certification, though this is not mandatory.
