Job Description
Hard Rock International (HRI) is a globally renowned entertainment and hospitality company, known for its vibrant Rock Shops®, live performance venues, cafes, and hotels. Established with a passion for music and a strong legacy starting from an Eric Clapton guitar as part of its memorabilia collection, Hard Rock has expanded across more than 70 countries with 265 locations. These venues include owned, licensed, or managed Rock Shops®, live event venues, cafes, and hotels, each embodying the spirit of rock and roll culture. The company also launched a digital presence through Hard Rock Digital in 2020, offering an online sportsbook, retail sportsbook, and internet gaming platform, demonstrating its forward-thinking approach in the entertainment and gaming sectors.
Hard Rock International is lauded for its dedication to outstanding guest satisfaction, winning numerous accolades including being recognized by J.D. Power as the number one brand in Outstanding Guest Satisfaction among Upper Upscale Hotels for multiple years. Further, HRI has been designated a U.S. Best Managed Company twice by Deloitte Private and The Wall Street Journal, and is celebrated for diversity and inclusion, making it a preferred employer in the travel, leisure, gaming, and entertainment industries.
The role of a Kitchen Cook at Hard Rock is pivotal to the success of the cafe experience, even if the position is not guest-facing. Cooks are versatile culinary team members responsible for preparing menu items and recipes to exact specifications, ensuring that prepped items are properly labeled, dated, and stored. They perform a wide range of duties including opening, closing, and side duties; setting up, stocking, and breaking down kitchen and line stations; and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Cooks must adhere strictly to safety and sanitation standards, work with a sense of urgency, and expertly read order tickets or automated kitchen systems to effectively assemble orders while double-checking product quality and specifications.
Cooks at Hard Rock bring impeccable product knowledge to their role and handle specialized procedures such as managing re-cooks, special preparations, and large party orders. Communication is essential, requiring professional interactions with coworkers and front-of-house staff. With competitive compensation of up to $15+ per hour, this role not only demands culinary skill but also teamwork, organization, and adherence to the company’s core values and mission. This comprehensive position provides exciting opportunities to contribute to an internationally recognized brand known for its commitment to employee health, well-being, and work-life balance through a comprehensive benefits package.
