The Prep/Cook position at Cicis Pizza plays a vital role in the day-to-day production of food items, including preparing dough, sauces, and cheese daily to maintain the quality that customers expect. A positive attitude and the ability to cultivate a fun, collaborative work atmosphere are essential for success in this role. While previous restaurant experience is advantageous, it is not a strict requirement, as Cicis provides the necessary training to support career growth within the company.
As a Prep/Cook, responsibilities include following food safety procedures, ensuring recipes are adhered to, maintaining cleanliness, and training new hires on back-of-house functions. The role also involves managing inventory orders, storing supplies correctly, supporting kitchen operations by making and cutting pizzas, and performing other assigned duties. Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and standing for extended periods during shifts. Bilingual communication skills in Spanish and English are considered an asset.
