The Premium Suites Lead is a pivotal leadership role within Oak View Group’s event operations team, focused on executing exceptional guest experiences in premium seating areas. This position is responsible for overseeing the setup and operation of assigned suites and club areas, ensuring each event meets OVG’s high standards for hospitality and service excellence. The Premium Suites Lead directly supervises Suite Attendants during events, providing guidance and support to ensure that food and beverage service is executed accurately, efficiently, and with personalized attention to guest needs. The role involves close collaboration with management, culinary teams, and other event operations departments to coordinate all aspects of suite service.
The role demands a keen eye for quality control, including monitoring food quality, enforcing alcohol compliance, maintaining inventory, and upholding sanitation and safety standards. The Premium Suites Lead also plays a vital role in closing out events by ensuring all operational protocols are followed. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced, event-driven environment. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years experience working in a lead or supervisory capacity in a fast-paced restaurant or catering environment or applicable education
- Ability to supervise the work of others
- Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with employees, co-workers, management staff, and guests
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
- Possession of a valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations
- Ability to calculate basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages related to POS credit transactions and product inventory
Job Qualifications
- 1-2 years experience in a lead or supervisory role in a fast-paced restaurant or catering environment or applicable education
- Ability to supervise others
- Strong communication skills with employees, co-workers, management, and guests
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
- Possess valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required
- Ability to perform basic math functions related to POS and inventory
Job Duties
- Lead the setup of food and beverage service areas within clubs based on event needs
- Ensure all clubs are set prior to the event
- Ensure quality and hospitality throughout all premium areas
- Facilitate communication between department counterparts
- Organize and prepare events
- Lead team members on event and non-event days
- Direct inquiries not related to food and beverage to appropriate personnel
- Monitor and maintain food quality
- Assist management in upholding policies, safety, and sanitation standards
- Monitor and enforce alcohol policies and procedures
- Maintain inventory control and product requisition
- Have full knowledge of food and beverage menu items
- Lead beverage service including alcoholic beverages
- Verify guest IDs for alcohol purchase
- Observe guests for additional requests
- Lead setup of club functions including linens, dishware, glassware, and silverware
- Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards
- Demonstrate excellent attendance
- Ensure location equipment is operable and clean before events
- Recognize intoxicated guests and take appropriate action
- Enforce all Oak View Group policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
