At Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan, Delaware North Sportservice is currently seeking a Premium Club Chef. Caesars Arena, a premier 20,000-seat venue home to the NHL's Detroit Red Wings and the NBA's Detroit Pistons, offers guests a dynamic and high-energy entertainment experience. Within this environment, the Premium Club Chef plays a critical role in maintaining high standards of food quality and culinary innovation across premium dining areas including club sections, loge boxes, and suites.

The Premium Club Chef position is a full-time role with competitive base compensation ranging from $61,200 to $82,600 annually, supplemented by an annual bonus or an uncapped sales incentive plan based on both individual and company performance. This role requires a seasoned culinary professional who is not only skilled in high-volume food preparation but also excels in leadership, team development, and operational management within a fast-paced kitchen.

In this leadership capacity, the Premium Club Chef supports the Executive Chef by overseeing production efficiency, ensuring adherence to recipe standards, managing inventory and labor costs, and fostering a positive work environment that encourages creativity and culinary excellence. The successful candidate will be hands-on with menu design and recipe development, utilizing culinary expertise for bulk recipe costing, while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations to maintain a safe, sanitized, and well-organized kitchen.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of culinary management experience in large-scale kitchen operations or high-volume food service environments. Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years culinary experience in large production kitchen or high-volume food and beverage operation
  • Experience leading and managing culinary teams
  • Proficiency with food cost and labor management
  • Knowledge of menu design and recipe costing
  • Strong food safety and sanitation knowledge
  • Computer proficiency with Word and Excel
  • Ability to obtain ServSafe Food Safety Handler and TIP certifications
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules including days evenings holidays and events

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of culinary experience with previous management responsibilities in a large production kitchen or high-volume food and beverage operation

  • Knowledge of best practices for monitoring food and labor cost menu development costing ordering inventory and food safety and sanitation
  • Proficient computer skills including Word and Excel

  • Capacity to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business levels

Job Duties
