The Orange County Convention Center, part of Sodexo's extensive service locations, is currently seeking a Banquet Porter for on-call part-time work, offering a competitive pay rate of $18.50 per hour. This role involves working varying shifts and requires open availability. The Banquet Porter plays a crucial role in supporting banquet and catering event operations by assisting with the setup, teardown, and movement of furniture, equipment, and supplies necessary for events. It ensures banquet spaces are clean, organized, and prepared according to event specifications and timelines, contributing significantly to the seamless execution of events.

Working closely with supervisors, captains, and banquet service teams, the Banquet Porter supports event delivery through tasks that vary depending on event size and business needs, including on-site and off-site catering functions. Key responsibilities include maintaining banquet and service areas, replenishing supplies during events, and adhering to safety standards including the ability to lift heavy items up to 50 pounds.
