Sterling Grove, located in Surprise, Arizona, is thrilled to offer a rewarding career opportunity for a Full-Time Porter. As a part of Troon, the world’s largest professional club management company, Sterling Grove stands out as a premier hospitality-focused property that prioritizes excellence, community, and professional growth. Troon, founded in 1990 and headquartered in Scottsdale, AZ, specializes in golf, hospitality, and residential community management across more than 900 locations in over 45 states and 27 countries. Being part of Troon means joining a global leader dedicated to creating vibrant, welcoming experiences for members and guests alike.

At Sterling Grove, the Porter role is essential to maintaining the community’s high standards of cleanliness, safety, and curb appeal. The role is full-time and offers the chance to grow within a fast-paced environment that values teamwork, dedication, and professional development. The Porter will take pride in contributing to a property that prioritizes beautifully maintained grounds and facilities, ensuring every detail from the building interiors and exteriors to parking lots and amenities exemplifies quality and care.

The responsibilities include setting and cleaning dining room tables and maintaining the appearance of the community by performing general cleaning duties such as picking up trash, emptying ashtrays, and pressure washing. The Porter will work closely with the Building Maintenance Manager and General Manager to address maintenance tasks, report issues, and uphold the overall safety and appearance of the property. This position demands a proactive individual who can work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team, assisting with member functions and supporting other staff members.

Sterling Grove recognizes the importance of safety and professionalism, requiring Porters to adhere to all company policies and local, state, and federal safety regulations. The community’s appearance, safety, and upkeep are central to the Porter’s role, making it a critical position for the daily operation and positive member experience. Moreover, the role offers a dynamic and engaging work environment that encourages learning and participation in training programs to enhance skills and career advancement.

The full-time role welcomes candidates willing to commit to a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, overtime, and on-call shifts based on property needs. Physical requirements include the ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and move throughout various work areas to perform duties effectively. Eligibility for comprehensive benefits such as healthcare (medical, dental, and vision plans), a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, and paid time off further enhances this opportunity’s value.

By joining Sterling Grove and Troon, the successful applicant will enter a community that embodies energy, kindness, and prosperity, with a global network that supports career growth and success within the hospitality industry. This opportunity is ideal for individuals eager to contribute to a leading organization while advancing their careers in a supportive, professional environment.
