Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a porter or maintenance staff
- Ability to work weekends and be on call
- Physically capable of performing cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Basic knowledge of safety protocols and equipment use
- Strong communication skills
- Reliable and punctual
Job Qualifications
- Experience in porter or maintenance role
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and use of cleaning chemicals
- Ability to safely operate manual and powered cleaning equipment
- Basic handyman skills for minor repairs
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work weekends and shifts as needed
- Good physical stamina and ability to work independently
Job Duties
- Complete daily maintenance and cleaning of entire facility including hallways, stairwells, offices, bathrooms, kitchens
- Safe use of manual and powered cleaning equipment and use of chemicals
- Clean floors, elevators, moldings/trim, and windows
- Remove and dispose of garbage throughout premises daily
- Maintain cleanliness of sidewalks, grounds work, and perform snow removal as needed
- Perform minor repairs including painting, replacing light bulbs, and floor/wall repairs
- Complete record keeping of jobs completed and supply/material inventories
- Perform other duties as assigned
