The role at Savannah Sound is for a Porter, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of multifamily residential units and property common areas. This position primarily supports the preparation of vacant units for marketing and occupancy, ensuring they meet cleanliness and safety standards before new residents move in. The Porter’s duties also extend to maintaining the exterior areas of the property, such as driveways, parking lots, curbs, and dumpster locations, to present an inviting and immaculate environment. Reporting directly to the Resident Manager and Property Manager, the Porter works closely with the maintenance team to address any issues promptly and efficiently. The role is critical in providing a positive first impression for prospective residents and maintaining high satisfaction levels for current residents through responsiveness and thorough upkeep.

This full-time position pays between $14.45 and $17.00 per hour, with compensation reflective of the candidate's experience, qualifications, and geographic area. The working environment includes a mix of indoor office tasks and outdoor duties that require movement between buildings and exposure to various weather conditions. Physical demands include standing and walking for long durations, climbing stairs or ladders, and the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and some prior experience in residential or commercial cleaning. Knowledge of safe cleaning practices and equipment use is crucial, along with the ability to follow directions and complete tasks on time. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, trade, technical, or vocational school
  • Knowledge of safe use of cleaning agents and equipment
  • Experience cleaning multifamily residential or commercial buildings preferred

  • Ability to follow safety policies and procedures

Job Duties

  • Clean the property business office, restrooms, laundry rooms, model apartments and property common areas on a defined schedule
  • Clean vacant apartment units in preparation for showing and occupancy
  • Maintain the overall upkeep of the property landscape and the exterior image including driveways, parking lots, curbs, dumpster areas, exterior hallways, and other public areas
  • Provide world class customer service by addressing residents' concerns and maintenance needs in a friendly and professional manner
  • Report any maintenance problems to the supervisor
  • Assist with inventory control
  • Perform job duties using safety guidelines and report obstacles to doing so
  • Perform other duties as assigned
