Job Description

Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. is a leading global operator of exchanges and clearing houses, as well as a provider of data and listings services. Established as a powerhouse in financial markets infrastructure, ICE facilitates transparent and efficient markets that drive the global economy. The company operates multiple regulated exchanges and clearing houses in various asset classes, including energy, agriculture, credit, and equities. With a commitment to innovation, safety, and integrity, ICE plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of marketplaces worldwide. Recognized for its inclusive workplace culture and commitment to diversity, the company offers a broad range of career opportunities across its various business segments in numerous locations globally. Working at ICE means joining a dynamic environment dedicated to continuous growth and excellence. The company values its employees and invests in their professional development, ensuring a supportive and rewarding work experience.

The role of Passenger Elevator Operator at Intercontinental Exchange is vital for ensuring smooth and professional transportation within their iconic locations at 11 Wall and 18 Broad Street. This position involves operating passenger elevators primarily for daily bell groups, client meetings, VIP guest visits, and executive officers. The operator must maintain a high level of professionalism and courtesy while interacting with clients, executives, VIPs, and other visitors, contributing significantly to the overall experience at the company's facility. The job also requires understanding and interpreting elevator and room reservation schedules accurately to provide helpful information and directions throughout the building.

Beyond elevator operations, this position includes setting up and arranging furniture such as chairs and special equipment necessary for events and conference rooms located on the 6th, 7th, 8th, and 17th floors. The operator is responsible for maintaining cleanliness in assigned work areas, responding promptly to any special service calls or emergencies like spills, breakages, or flooding, and ensuring the safety and accessibility of building entrances by removing snow or ice when needed.

The role extends to operating freight elevators and assisting with loading and unloading deliveries or equipment, especially during large client events. Attention to safety procedures, particularly regarding lifting techniques—handling objects up to 75 pounds—is essential to avoid injury. Flexibility to work overtime and perform various job-related duties is required, highlighting the dynamic nature of this position. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with good communication skills, a presentable appearance, and a proactive approach to guest services and facility support.

Based in New York, the expected base salary range for this Passenger Elevator Operator role is between $53,177 and $67,109 USD annually. This range serves as general guidance, with compensation tailored according to the individual’s skills and experience. In addition to competitive pay, ICE provides full-time employees with a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision), a 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, paid time off, and leave benefits for qualifying circumstances. Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. embraces diversity and is an Equal Opportunity Employer, ensuring all qualified applicants receive fair consideration regardless of legally protected characteristics.
