The Collision Porter role at AutoNation plays a vital part within the collision center operations. This position involves performing a variety of duties essential to the daily functioning and efficiency of the collision repair process. The Collision Porter is responsible for cleaning vehicles inside and out to prepare them for delivery, transporting customers, and moving vehicles between intake, storage, sublet vendors, and within the collision center itself to meet production goals. This role requires maintaining a clean and orderly environment in production and paint areas through tasks like sweeping, removing trash, and discarding parts. Additionally, the Collision Porter helps maintain other areas of the facility, such as offices and storage, and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to hazardous waste disposal.

Job Duties

  • Clean the inside and outside of vehicles for delivery
  • pick up from and deliver customers to desired locations
  • pick up and deliver vehicles to sublet vendors and customers as directed
  • move vehicles from intake area to storage area
  • move vehicles inside and outside of collision center to help achieve production standards
  • maintain a neat and orderly production and paint areas by sweeping, removal of trash and discarding parts
  • maintain other areas of the collision center such as offices, storage areas and around the outside of the collision center
  • understand and follow federal, state and local regulations such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes
