Job Description

Bowebusiness Group operates a dynamic restaurant environment dedicated to delivering outstanding guest experiences through quality service and exceptional food offerings. With a history rooted in strong values such as dependability, respect, and a passion for excellence, the company fosters a supportive workplace culture that prioritizes teamwork, safety, and open communication. As a recognized player in the foodservice industry, Bowebusiness Group emphasizes the importance of maintaining cleanliness, safety standards, and an efficient operational flow to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.

The Porter role at Bowebusiness Group is a pivotal position responsible for preparing the restaurant for daily operations. This position requires an individual who is resourceful, dependable, and capable of prioritizing and completing multiple tasks independently. The Porter ensures the restaurant is clean, safe, and well-maintained both inside and outside the premises. Duties include general maintenance of equipment, the building, and the surrounding grounds, ensuring all sanitary and food safety practices are strictly followed. The position demands that all daily cleaning and preparation tasks be completed before the lunch shift begins, emphasizing timeliness and accuracy to support a smooth opening.

This role requires close collaboration with other team members while also demanding the ability to work autonomously. The ideal candidate must uphold company safety standards at all times and be proactive in spotting potential hazards for both employees and guests. The Porter also handles critical responsibilities such as food stock rotation using the First In-First-Out (FIFO) method and monitoring product shelf life to maintain food quality. Accurate documentation of food temperatures upon delivery is another key responsibility, ensuring compliance with the Quality Control and Safe Food Checklist.

Physical demands are considerable, with the role requiring frequent lifting, bending, cleaning in various environments, and climbing ladders up to 25 feet. The position is evenly split between indoor and outdoor workspaces and requires strength, stamina, and a steadfast commitment to safety protocols. Essential functions include sweeping, mopping, scrubbing using hazardous materials, and handling routine maintenance tasks safely.

Additionally, the Porter must exhibit strong communication and organizational skills, maintain a sense of urgency, and be flexible and dependable to effectively manage the dynamic demands of the restaurant environment. Reading and writing skills are essential for completing documentation and following safety guidelines.

Bowebusiness Group upholds core values such as dependability, maintaining a positive attitude, respect for all individuals, focused work ethic, effective communication, and an unwavering pursuit of perfection. These values are integral to the success of both the team and the organization. Joining the team as a Porter presents an opportunity to contribute to a well-established company that values professionalism, safety, and high service standards while offering a supportive environment for personal and professional growth.
