The role of the Porter at BrightView is an essential position focused on maintaining the cleanliness and overall upkeep of client sites to uphold the company's high standards of service. This full-time role based in Dallas, TX, involves executing a variety of site-level tasks with a strong emphasis on light landscaping, grounds maintenance, and trash removal. The Porter serves as the frontline ambassador while representing BrightView at client locations, demonstrating professionalism and integrity in all interactions. Key responsibilities of this role include keeping premises orderly, assisting with snow removal, cleaning sidewalks using blowers, repairing windows and screens, and managing trash collection and disposal. The position demands physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, requiring use of landscaping equipment like mowers, trimmers, and blowers. The Porter must be able to safely perform manual labor, bend, stoop, and walk extensively throughout the day.

Job Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license (if operating company vehicles)
- Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or holidays if needed
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions including extreme heat and cold
- Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and edgers
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, stand, walk continuously throughout the day
- Ability to perform repetitive motions for extended periods
- Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment including safety shoes, high-visibility clothing, hand protection, eye protection, hearing protection, head protection
- Ability to maintain required medications for known allergic reactions
- Ability to meet company motor vehicle record standards if operating fleet vehicles
Job Qualifications

- Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, edgers

Job Duties
- Keep the premises of BrightView’s clients’ grounds in clean and orderly condition
- Light landscaping
- Transport trash and waste to the disposal area
- Demonstrate strong professionalism and integrity while representing BrightView
- Assist maintenance team with snow removal (as applicable)
- Physically walk the property frequently and remove litter
- Clean and rake shrub areas
- shovel mud when necessary
- Use a blower to keep sidewalks and walking areas clean of loose grass and brush
- Repair and replace windows, screens, sliding glass doors, etc.
- Drive to designated areas in a vehicle and pick up trash with trash grabbers
- Other duties as assigned
