The position available is for a Porter in the Production department of RWB Thrift. This hourly role pays between $16.00 and $17.00 per hour and offers a dynamic, fast-paced work environment. As a Porter, you will act as the crucial coordinator in the backroom, ensuring that production support staff have all necessary supplies in the right place and at the right time. Your role will significantly contribute to smooth production floor operations by maintaining cleanliness, organizing inventory, and ensuring safety throughout the workspace.

Your daily tasks will encompass various responsibilities such as loading and unloading donated items from trailers and delivery trucks, safely managing the merchandise flow within the store, and handling waste disposal by operating the trash compactor. You will also be responsible for organizing supplies like hangers, racks, sensors, and storage bins for easy access by production teams to continue their work efficiently.

Working effectively in this role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to anticipate the needs of your team to prevent downtime or delays. You will be instrumental in keeping pathways clear of hazards, contributing to a safer work environment for yourself and your colleagues. Communication skills are vital as you will liaise with multiple teams and ensure that safety protocols and store procedures are strictly followed.

The physical demands of the job include lifting and carrying items weighing up to 70 pounds and standing for extended periods. Endurance, manual dexterity, and balance are essential, as much of your day will involve repetitive motions and maneuvering through a busy and noisy workspace.
