About: This job opening is for a Summer Poolside Server position at an upscale private club, known for offering its members a refined and exclusive hospitality experience. The club features a high-quality poolside environment where members can relax, socialize, and enjoy premium beverage and food options. The establishment prides itself on creating a welcoming atmosphere that blends sophistication with casual comfort, providing an exemplary service experience to its diverse and discerning clientele. As a private club, the organization emphasizes community, exclusivity, and outstanding customer service, making it a leader in the local hospitality scene.
The Summer Poolside Server role is essential to maintaining the club's exemplary standards of member satisfaction during the busy summer season. This seasonal position focuses on delivering attentive and personable service to members lounging by the pool. As a Poolside Server, you are primarily responsible for taking and serving food and beverage orders efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized pool area. The role demands excellent communication skills, energy, and a proactive approach to anticipate and respond to member needs promptly. Employees in this position are expected to have comprehensive knowledge of the poolside menu and beverages, including beer, wine, and liquors available at the club, enabling them to provide recommendations and engage members in a friendly and knowledgeable manner.
This position requires working in a lively outdoor environment that can be hot, humid, and occasionally noisy. Servers must be prepared for potentially long hours and the stresses associated with busy shifts, especially during evenings, weekends, and the peak summer period from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. The job also requires adherence to strict safety, health, and liquor regulations to ensure member safety and compliance with legal standards. Candidates must hold a Food Handler Certificate and TABC Certification and be at least 18 years old to meet the job’s certification requirements.

Working as part of a team, the server will help uphold the club's reputation for personalized and high-quality service. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and organization of the pool area, ensuring all service tasks are performed to the highest standards, and supporting a safe and inviting environment for leisure and socializing. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop valuable hospitality skills in a dynamic setting while interacting with an elite member base. It is ideal for individuals who are energetic, personable, and committed to delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced, seasonal outdoor environment.
