This role is integral to maintaining a clean, efficient, and hospitable environment around the pool and dining areas, enhancing the overall guest experience. The Pool Model Food Runner will be responsible for ensuring timely food delivery and supporting the coordination between servers, chefs, and guests. Key tasks include preserving the cleanliness and orderliness of the pool area, dining sections, storerooms, food pick-up areas, and beverage stations according to the resort's high standards. The role demands attention to detail in polishing flatware, setting tables with the appropriate silverware, glassware, linens, condiments, and folding napkins. The Food Runner also assists kitchen staff by prepping sauces and condiments and performing other essential duties to facilitate smooth kitchen operations.

This role requires individuals to perform physical tasks including removing dirty dishes and linens from tables, cleaning the dining room floors, and ensuring trash is properly disposed of. Candidates should be able to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the dynamic schedule of a resort environment. Moreover, the Pool Model Food Runner must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with guests, colleagues, and management. The ability to listen attentively and exercise sound judgment in a fast-moving environment is crucial.

Located in a bustling hotel and resort atmosphere, the position involves exposure to multiple environmental factors such as varying noise levels, temperature fluctuations, and air quality conditions. Candidates must be physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 75 pounds sometimes and performing repeated motions such as balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. The role is suitable for individuals 21 years or older who possess or can obtain necessary certifications including a TAM/Alcohol Awareness card, SNHD Health Card, and a Nevada Gaming License.

Job Duties

  • ensure food delivery in a timely manner
  • work with servers to ensure proper guest service
  • assist the chefs/cooks with anything that is needed in the kitchen
  • prep sauces and condiments
  • polish flatware, set up tables with appropriate silverware, glassware, linen, condiments, accessories and fold napkins
  • remove dirty dishes, debris, and linens from table and bring to the kitchen for proper washing and disposing of trash in designated receptacles
  • ensure that dining room floors are clean and free of debris
  • perform other job-related duties as requested
