Reporting to the Supervisor of Pool Services, this role requires an outgoing and motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, service-driven environment. The Pool Concierge is responsible for engaging guests, especially VIP members, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction from the moment they check in for pool access to any cabana or day bed rental services. This position demands excellent communication skills and a passion for hospitality, as the concierge acts as the key point of contact coordinating VIP arrivals and facilitating the provision of exceptional amenities and services. The concierge also handles retail transactions with precision and accountability, manages merchandise presentation, upholds safety and cleanliness standards, and supports pool deck setup with the facilities team. This role is a blend of guest service, operational responsibility, and teamwork, requiring adaptability, multi-tasking capability, and professionalism. Working closely with other departments, the Pool Concierge champions the goals and priorities of the Tribe, ensuring every guest experiences the highest level of care in a safe and welcoming environment. Given the nature of the resort environment, flexibility with hours, including weekends and holidays, as well as the ability to work under pressure, is essential. This position also emphasizes discretion and confidentiality, particularly regarding guest information and health data, underscoring the need for trustworthiness and integrity. Overall, the Pool Concierge contributes significantly to the resort’s reputation by creating memorable interactions and ensuring smooth daily operations at the pool area, enhancing guests' health, relaxation, and enjoyment at San Manuel Resort and Casino.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- minimum one year of customer service experience
- ability to work outdoors in seasonal heat, cold, and inclement weather
- must be CPR/AED certified or able to obtain certification upon employment
- must be able to handle multiple tasks and guests simultaneously
- ability to communicate effectively with guests, teams and management verbally and in writing
- ability to work in a fast-paced, high demand environment
- must be able to sit and stand for long hours
- must be comfortable working in both spa and casino environments
- must demonstrate discretion with confidential information
- ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor under challenging situations
- must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- ability to multi-task
- must have experience working under pressure
- at discretion, may need a gaming license
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Welcomes guests, including VIP members, at pool check in and ensures they are comfortable
- specializes, coordinates, and books cabanas and day bed rentals
- coordinates VIP arrivals and communicates to designated personnel for escort and delivery of amenities
- performs and accurately records retail transactions including cash, credit card, Earned Rewards and comps through Point-of-Sale System using proper procedures
- maintains a cash drawer and balances drawer at the end of shifts with minimal variances
- communicates effectively between team and shared departments while consistently checking in with guests on pool deck to meet all needs
- maintains safe, sanitary, and cleanliness in all guest-visible areas and organizes merchandise presentations within the pool kiosk
- assists facilities team in setting up and tearing down pool deck equipment
- models and upholds enterprise and department policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Guidelines
- ensures day-to-day operations including product-receiving, fulfillment, and training requirements
- performs other duties as assigned to support efficient department operations
