The role of Pool Busser at Starwood Hotels is integral to delivering the impeccable service that guests have come to expect. Situated within the pool and outdoor dining areas, the Pool Busser supports the service team by maintaining cleanliness, resetting tables promptly, and ensuring service stations are well-stocked and organized. This role requires attention to detail and teamwork to sustain a comfortable and welcoming environment for guests. As a Pool Busser, you will prepare table settings for all meal services, assist with clearing and sanitizing tables between courses, and uphold the company’s high standards of cleanliness and safety across all guest-facing and back-of-house areas. You will also assist with special events and poolside functions, contributing to the smooth operation of these experiences. This position demands a dynamic presence capable of multitasking during high-volume periods while maintaining a positive attitude and a commitment to quality service. Flexibility is key, with the need to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays. Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Flexible availability including weekends holidays and varying shifts based on operational needs
  • Food Handler Certification preferred or ability to obtain during employment
  • Previous busser or food runner experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
  • Dependable team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Proficient verbal and written English communication skills
  • Ability to stand walk bend and move throughout the shift for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • Previous busser or food runner experience preferred ideally in a luxury hospitality resort or pool environment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
  • Dependable team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Proficient verbal and written English communication skills
  • Ability to stand walk bend and move throughout the shift for extended periods
  • Food Handler Certification preferred or ability to obtain during employment

Job Duties

  • Prepare all poolside tables and lounge dining areas before service ensuring place settings are properly arranged and presentation standards are met
  • Set and maintain appropriate table settings for breakfast lunch and dinner service including condiments and utensils
  • Stock and replenish all service stations throughout the shift including silverware glassware plates napkins and service supplies
  • Maintain assigned service areas ensuring guests receive water service promptly and assist team members as needed
  • Clear tables efficiently between courses and upon guest departure removing dishes glassware and linens
  • Clean sanitize and reset tables chairs and poolside dining areas according to company standards
  • Polish and properly store silverware glassware and service equipment
  • Complete all assigned opening side work and closing duties
  • Ensure pool service stations storage areas and server stations remain organized stocked and clean throughout the shift
  • Remove dirty linens dispose of trash appropriately and maintain cleanliness in all guest-facing and back-of-house areas
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of special events cabanas and poolside functions as needed
  • Practice the highest regard for safety in all work areas and when handling equipment and cleaning materials
  • Follow all company policies health and safety regulations and food handling standards
  • Participate in daily pre-shift meetings and team briefings
  • Maintain strict uniform grooming and appearance standards
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
