With properties spanning states including Alabama, Colorado, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina, Kessler Hospitality blends exquisite art, music, and cultural influences to create approachable yet refined environments for its guests. Each hotel is meticulously crafted to offer bold, original experiences that entice individualist travelers. The company was the founding member of the Marriott Autograph Collection, launching seven hotels under this prestigious brand. From cutting-edge downtown icons to premier luxury lodges, entertainment hot spots, and elite ski lodges, Kessler Hotels offer guests a remarkable stay infused with Bohemian luxury and creativity.

One of the standout properties is nestled on the falls of the iconic Reedy River in downtown Greenville, South Carolina. This AAA Four Diamond boutique lodge offers a unique, intimate immersion into the city’s natural wonders and vibrant culture. The hotel's floor-to-ceiling windows provide panoramic views paired with earth-inspired décor elements, such as unique chandeliers and a wine room. Guests enjoy balcony relaxation, an outdoor bar and restaurant overlooking the Reedy River, a manicured event lawn, and amenities including a spa, an art gallery, a fitness center, and hiking trails. This property blends natural beauty with upscale hospitality, making it a sought-after destination for travelers seeking both adventure and rejuvenation.

The role of Pastry Cook at Kessler Hotels is an excellent opportunity for culinary professionals who are passionate about baking and pastry arts. This hourly position involves preparing and baking desserts, breads, and pastries to the highest standards of quality and presentation. The Pastry Cook plays a crucial role in ensuring that all dessert offerings meet food handling and quality assurance standards while providing an exceptional culinary experience to guests. This position requires a blend of creativity, precision, and teamwork in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The incumbent will follow recipes meticulously, accommodate special guest requests, manage inventory and equipment, and maintain a clean and safe workspace. With a commitment to the mission and core values of Kessler Hospitality, this role supports the overarching goal of delivering luxurious, artistically inspired dining experiences in an intimate boutique hotel setting.

As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for the entire pastry production process—measuring and mixing ingredients, preparing fillings and icings, decorating cakes and pastries, adjusting oven temperatures, and ensuring the proper rotation and storage of food to minimize waste. You will work closely with kitchen leadership to communicate needs and maintain inventory levels. The position requires adherence to health and safety codes, sanitation standards, and a professional appearance. Attendance at relevant training and meetings is expected to keep skills and knowledge current. The Pastry Cook must also maintain effective communication with internal team members and guests, contributing to a warm and friendly atmosphere that aligns with the company’s standard of hospitality.

This career opportunity is ideal for individuals with a culinary or pastry and baking degree or equivalent training in the hospitality or restaurant industry. Ideal candidates have at least one year of relevant experience, preferably within luxury brands or markets. Food safety certification is preferred or must be obtained within 30 days of employment. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures, alongside knowledge of kitchen operations and pastry production techniques. Comfort with multitasking, communication skills, and proficiency with culinary tools and kitchen equipment is essential. Candidates must thrive in a busy shared kitchen environment, adapting to shifting priorities with professionalism and teamwork. Physical requirements include handling kitchen pressures such as high temperatures and humidity, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and the capability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly. Work schedules may vary week to week and can exceed 40 hours as business demands.

Joining Kessler Hotels as a Pastry Cook means becoming part of a renowned hospitality group dedicated to artistic excellence and guest satisfaction.
