Job Description

Urban Farmer Philadelphia is a renowned modern steakhouse located in the heart of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Celebrating the city's vibrant spirit, this restaurant uniquely blends warm, modern-rustic design with a menu that emphasizes sustainability and fresh, locally sourced ingredients. As a leading culinary establishment, Urban Farmer is deeply committed to supporting local farms, ranches, and fisheries, ensuring that each dish reflects the authentic flavors and the dynamic energy of Philadelphia. The restaurant seamlessly integrates its culinary philosophy with an impressive beverage program featuring Pennsylvania craft beers, cocktails crafted from local spirits, and a curated wine list spotlighting regional vineyards. Situated nine floors above the bustling city, the Assembly Rooftop Lounge offers guests breathtaking views of Logan Square, the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. This stylish rooftop venue is perfect for those looking to enjoy panoramic cityscapes accompanied by sparkling cocktails, champagne, and a lively city-chic atmosphere.

The team at Urban Farmer Philadelphia prides itself on delivering exceptional hospitality by anticipating guest needs, fostering a collaborative work environment, and creating memorable experiences. They seek individuals passionate about outstanding service with a proactive, "make it happen" attitude. The current vacancy is for a vital culinary role within the Urban Farmer restaurant and Assembly Rooftop Lounge. The position is regular full-time, based at 1 Logan Square, Philadelphia, within The Logan Philadelphia property. This role involves ensuring high standards of service from the frontline kitchen team through quality control, training line cooks, and maintaining sanitation protocols. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in upholding the restaurant's reputation by guaranteeing that food preparation meets recipe standards, presentation is impeccable, and all health and safety regulations are rigorously followed. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic, fast-paced kitchen environment where contributing to food cost management and minimizing waste are also important responsibilities. Candidates will engage in daily operations such as monitoring equipment maintenance, ensuring proper food rotation and storage, setting up kitchen lines for efficiency, and assisting in inventory management. The role demands physical stamina due to frequent lifting, standing, and mobility requirements and requires excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members. Urban Farmer Philadelphia offers a vibrant workplace culture that values professionalism, teamwork, and a shared commitment to culinary excellence and guest satisfaction. If you are aiming to grow your career in a respected culinary establishment that honors the essence of Philadelphia dining, this position at Urban Farmer Philadelphia is an ideal fit.
