This position may be offered on either a full-time or part-time basis, with employees asked to work shifts that could last up to 9 hours. It requires physical endurance, as standing and walking throughout the shift are necessary. Attention to detail is critical, not only in baking but in maintaining the clean and sanitary conditions required by health standards. The baker will troubleshoot any recipe challenges and be flexible in undertaking additional duties as necessary to support kitchen operations.
Beyond technical baking skills, the ideal candidate will have strong communication skills to interact respectfully and kindly with guests and team members alike. Must hold a current Municipality of Anchorage Food Worker Card and have preferable prior baking experience of at least six months. The work environment is fast-paced and challenging, encouraging professionalism and a positive attitude at all times. This role reports directly to the Lead Baker or Kitchen Manager and is classified as non-exempt. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have a current Municipality of Anchorage Food Worker Card
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 9 hours per shift
- Ability to occasionally lift or move objects up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to communicate write and understand English
- Previous baking experience preferred
- Must comply with all safety and sanitation standards

- Troubleshoot any difficulties or challenges presented by current recipes
- Work at a rapid and efficient pace to keep up with production needs
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace at all times
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned based on the needs of the business
